Another few months have passed and another development video has been posted to highlight many of the new changes that have been added to Unsung Heroes 1898. Over the last few development posts, specific aspects of the game were worked on (such as the soldier models, map design, etc.). This past month has shifted this direction to instead focus on a multitude of smaller, though equally important, aspects of the game. This includes a revamped UI, new animations, and a much smoother presentation of the gameplay, just to name a few. The next development video and associated post will use this same direction of development, fixing bugs and polishing the overall experience of Unsung Heroes. The goal is to create a “vertical slice,” or a portion of the game that is feature complete and plays to what the final version will play like. This article does not go into all the changes that have been added to the game, since there are too many to list and the video goes over most of the obvious changes.
One major thing that needs to be said is that the website will likely change over the coming months. The press page is still not complete and needs to be ready before the game launches into early access. In addition, the home page and games page will be modified to be slightly more coherent and revealing of what Unsung Heroes 1898 is. Lastly, the news page will be modified to have better formatting and more functionality. This will likely include changes made to the comment section of each news article. In the meantime, consider watching the development video linked below, as well as follow Venomic Games on all our social media platforms for the latest news on Unsung Heroes 1898.
