Unsung Heroes 1898 takes you back to the Spanish-American War, a war covered in deception, sensational journalism, suppression, and the blood of those who fought for their country. Experience every major land battle of the war, across the Philippine, Cuban, and Puerto Rican campaigns. Fight on large scale maps, with non-linear objectives and hundreds of ways to play. This is the War of 1898 like you’ve never seen before.
Play One, Control All
In Unsung Heroes 1898, every soldier, commanding officer, and artillery personnel can be played. With a tap of a button, you can switch at any time and play as whoever you want on the battlefield. Each military unit has their own gameplay quirks, benefits, and disadvantages. There are a near infinite number of ways to play the game - it’s up to you to decide how to win battles.
Massive Battles, Pure Chaos
Every map is open for you to explore, discover, and fight. Each map is large in size, contains numerous objectives, and is littered with troops, some friendly and some not. However you choose to play, combat turmoil will ensue.
History Retold
All weapons, maps, and characters are represented faithfully to their historical, real life counterparts. Experience and learn the story of America in 1898, the significant figures who guided the war, and the results of a country with imperialistic motives. Everything will be retold, without bias and with full verity.
Community Driven
Unsung Heroes 1898 will launch as an Early Access game on Steam. Content will be guided based on community feedback. In addition, mod support will be developed to allow players to create their own maps and battles.
Unsung Heroes 1898 will launch in Early Access on Steam in 2023 and will feature three battles, a plethora of detailed firearms, and the engaging gameplay of open-ended, large-scale warfare. More features, including the story campaign and community mod support, will be added over the course of Early Access development.
